How has your academic or extracurricular experience impacted your career path?

My experience at OU fostered a drive to succeed and a passion to learn, which helped shape the rest of my life. The culture at OHIO is unbelievable motivational. Being surrounded by so many amazing individuals has made me want to succeed and do right by OU.

What, if anything, has surprised you about the direction your career path has taken?

I’m surprised at how much my career path has strayed from where I started, especially graduating with a degree in Biological Sciences. Luckily though I ended up exactly where I was meant to be.

What was the biggest challenge you faced during the job-search process and how did you overcome that?

I went to graduate school after undergrad, thus delaying my job search process. When the time finally came, the most difficult part was joining the pursuit during a slow hiring season.

What is your favorite thing about post-grad life?

My favorite part of post-grad life (and all that came next) is finally having the time and the means to live my life to the fullest.

If you could go back and tell your college-self one thing, what would it be?

If I could go back, I would tell my college-self to always make time for fun. Never give up an opportunity to live and laugh, even if it means you’ll have to work hard to make it up elsewhere.
